A misplaced resource!

The nutirent rich plants that were removed from Fresh Pond are a misplaced resource that will now be put to good use.

Instead of fertilizing the pond, as the town engineer, Joe Finora explains:

“All of the disposed material will be worked into the existing organics supply — yard clippings, leaves, branches, tetc. It will be processid in the upland area of the recycling center and eventually offered back to islanders as mulch and topsoil.”
